workshops at the "Making It' event

The opening of the 'Making it' programme took place in Winchester this weekend, I attended the launch on Friday and was able to meet the artists responsible for the various installations at the Discovery Centre. They are amazing. So much work has gone into this project by Alice Kettle and Lynne Dick of 'Making Space' and is reflected in the quality and huge choice of events available.   I attended the opening conference on Friday called 'Making it Professional' which included presentations by professional artists, writers, heritage and arts specialists, amongst others and included 1:2:1 mentoring and advice sessions. Lots to think about.

Saturday I spent working delivering 4 workshops on translating observational drawings into surface patterns using paper cutting which were really well attended and fun.
