I am really really excited to have been chosen as one of the artists on the 'New Creatives 2013' project. It's an annual project led by the university of Portsmouth's faculty of creative and cultural industries (CCI), that showcases the creative work of young people from further education and sixth-form colleges. It culminates in a joint exhibition at Aspex Gallery in Gunwharf Quays. Every year the university and Aspex jointly commission an artist to deliver workshops at each participating college and is seen as an 'artist residency', with the aim of working with and inspiring young students to develop their artistic practice. It all starts on 22 October with an official launch at Aspex Gallery.
