'Impressions' Exhibition at The Jane Austen House Museum, Chawton, Hampshire

 The sun came out and all the artists and guests involved in the 'Impressions' Exhibition at the Jane Austen House Museum, in Chawton, were able to have the private view both inside and out. The cottage garden was in flower and it was a really wonderful evening.  All the work had been thoughtfully curated by Sophie Cunningham Dawe, being made in response to the site and therefore placed as 'interventions' around the property, both inside and outside.  Alex Jones has made delicate wood carvings which complement Susan Wood's soundscapes and are exhibited in the museums' grounds.  Alex Hoare has created site-specific glassworks, while Chirs Riisager, Sophie Cunningham-Dawe, Kate Dicker and myself made paper based works.  The exhibition runs until the end of September with opening times to be found on the museum site.

new work

i am really excited having just become a somewhat reluctant and hesitant owner of an iphone, but it's changed my life and is already influencing the way i work. I've got several work in progress projects involving landscape, travel and archaeology and am amassing images and sounds at a rate of knots.  it's really keeping me awake......these are some pictures I took on the way to and from wales this weekend.

Creative Force Exhibition, Discover Centre, Winchester

I am taking part in 'Creative Force' an exhibition at The Discovery Centre, Winchester 26 May - 1 July 2012.  Work on display includes original paper dresses created as part of 'The Enliven Project' last year, alongside new large-scale archival prints.  All sales will donate a percentage to Emmaus, the homeless charity I worked with on this project.

various hyde artists have taken part in an art show hosted by the hyde tavern. this extremely ancient watering hole with barely enough ceiling height for the average human, played host to about 20 artists who covered the walls and cellar with their work. I was lucky enough to be placed next to a talented friend raizye parmley, a painter of time and memories.
